Moravia is a historical country in the Czech Republic (forming its eastern part) and one of the historical Czech lands, together with Bohemia and Czech Silesia. The medieval and early modern Margraviate of Moravia was a crown land of the Lands of the Bohemian Crown.
Day 1 - Arrival to Olomouc Region
Arrival in Olomouc area, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 - Olomouc
In the morning you will discover Olomouc, one of the eldest cities in the country: Przemyslids Palace, the astronomical tower clock on the Ring Square and the Baroque Trinity Column are just some of the architectural highlights that you can admire during the city tour. Since 1063 episcopal see of Moravia, Catholicism is reflected in the gothic churches of St. Wenceslas and St. Moritz, with the largest organ in the country. The city tour will be crowned by a visit to the Veteran Arena. The museum of historical automobiles presents mainly pre-war exhibits of the brands Tatra, Wikov, Zetka, Skoda, Breitfield, Danek etc. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - Hand-made paper factory, Velke Losiny Castle and Quargel cheese museum
The town of Velke Losiny has a lot to offer: it is not only a well-known spa resort with warm springs, you will visit an unique handmade paper factory. Since 1596, the original manufacturing technology has been used until today. Then you visit the paper museum and the representative sales point. In the afternoon you visit the Renaissance Castle of Velke Losiny, one of the most beautiful castle in the country. Also a visit to the "Olomouc Quargel" cheese Museum in Lostice will not be missed
Day 4 - Jeseníky Mountains with Karlsbrunn, Altvater gallery and Sovinec
After breakfast you start a round trip of Jeseniky Mountains. The first destination is Karlova Studanka (Karlsbrunn), considered the most beautiful spa town in the Czech Republic. The spa became famous for its ferrous sources and acidulous mineral waters. In the afternoon continue to Sovinec Castle, one of the most powerful fortresses from the 13th century. It was used as protection in the Swedish wars until 1650 and thereafter as the seat of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights. In the neighboring village of Jirikov lives and works one of the most famous Czech woodcarvers, Mr. Jiri Halouzka. His gallery has 450 wood carved animal statues and a natural size nativity scene with 250 sculptures which has been proclaimed as the "Greatest Nativity Scene in the World".
In the evening return to the hotel for dinner with music and dance.
Day 5 - Brno and Busau
Today it's time to visit Brno, the capital of Moravia. During a city tour you will get familiar to the city centre. After some time at leisure you will visit the fairy-tale castle of Bouzov which has been renovated at the end of the 19th century, after centuries of history, for Archduke Eugen from Habsburg as a summer residence. The fabulous architecture of this monumental castle often served as a movie backdrop. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 - Departure
Breakfast and departure.
