Many small rocky bays and coves and only a few long sandy beaches - the North Eastern part is mountainous while the Gallura sub region is characterized by granite cliffs.
In Northeast Sardinia each village and tourist destination has its own peculiarities: the Costa Smeralda is characterized by a crystal clear sea and a glamorous atmosphere. The La Maddalena Archipelago features a stunning sea and breathtaking views. Santa Teresa Gallura is the closest town to Corsica. Here you can take a ferry to visit Bonifacio.
Driving along the northwest coast of Sardinia you find Isola Rossa, Stintino and Alghero. These are the most popular tourist destinations, not only for the beaches (which are growing longer every year), but also for the lively nightlife.
Day 1: Olbia, Costa Smeralda
Morning arrival in Olbia, meeting with your local guide (if booked) and departure for the Costa Smeralda. Accommodation in your 3*** hotel in Palau area followed by lunch. In the afternoon visit to the lovely Costa Smeralda with the famous tourist centers of Porto Rotondo, Porto Cervo, Baia Sardinia known for their fine white beaches and the clear sea.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 2: La Maddalena, Santa Teresa di Gallura, Costa Smeralda
After breakfast, meeting with your local guide (if booked) and transfer to the port of Palau. Boat trip to La Maddalena. Your first stop will be on Caprera Island where you can visit the museum Casa Garibaldi. Proceed to La Maddalena Island.
Return to your hotel for lunch
In the afternoon proceed to Santa Teresa di Gallura, the cusp of the Northern coast of Sardinia.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Castelsardo, Alghero
After breakfast meeting with your local guide (if booked) and departure to Castelsardo.
Situated in the heart of the Gulf of Asinara, it’s the main town of Anglona, a place of natural beauty, traditions and wonderful art works.
Visit the cathedral of S. Antonio Abate, Santa Maria and St. Antonio.
Lunch in a restaurant
In the afternoon proceed to Alghero. Visit to Sardinia’s most picturesque Old Town.
The narrow, cobbled streets of Alghero’s medieval citadel, packed with boutiques, bars and restaurants, slope towards the harbor and sweeping bay.
Visit to the Aragon’s Bastion, San Francesco church and the lovely cathedral.
Dinner and overnight in your 3*** hotel in Alghero area
Day 4: Alghero, Olbia
Breakfast and check-out. Meeting with your local guide (if booked) and departure to Capo Caccia.
Visit to the Palmavera Nuraghe, the only one built of white stone. Return to your hotel for lunch.
In the afternoon transfer to Olbia. End of our service.
